About Blair Forster Memorial Trust (BFMT)

Patron: KIRSTY SWORD GUSMAO. Former First lady of East Timor
The Trust was established to further the education of the people of East Timor, especially the provision of quality upper secondary education. Established in 2004, to date the Trust has:
- Obtained the patronage of Kirsty Sword Gusmao, First Lady of East Timor.
- Registered as a separate charity, one in Hong Kong and the other in UK.
- Raised significant funds to support our programs.
- Selected and arranged placements and scholarships for East Timorese students in a number of United World Colleges and other international schools.
- Provided a number of secondary students with scholarships in ET for two years.
- Provided teacher trainee scholarships in ET for three years.
- Aided ET teacher to train to be a teaching instructor.
- Established links with other organizations with similar aims.
- Appointed educational advisors in ET.
