Ann Green - Blair Forster Memorial TrustAnn Green

Position: Director of Fundraising
Work: Vice Principal (Primary) Renaissance College, Hong Kong

Ann is an educator with 30 years of teaching experience, mainly at primary school level, and so in this way she complements the secondary school experience of most other Trustees. She is passionate about every children’s right to a quality education and since visiting East Timor in 2006/7 she has become proactively involved in fundraising for the Trust. She had organized a sponsored walk with the children at Kennedy School during her employment there, and raised over HK$96.

During this walk the Fijian Rugby Sevens Team were practicing in the centre of the field and were moved by what they heard about East Timor and the children's efforts to help them. Pictures of the children and the team were taken and sent to the newspaper in Suva to appear on Children's Day in Fiji.

Since then, Ann has been a proactive motivator for the Trust, not only in trying to bring awareness about East Timor, but promoting their culture and finding ingenious ways to work together with ethic groups in East Timor where handicrafts there can be sold to promote these hard working people. Most of the money raised has been through Ann and John’s efforts, for which we are truely grateful.
