During this walk the Fijian Rugby Sevens Team were practicing in the centre of the field and were moved by what they heard about East Timor and the children's efforts to help them. Pictures of the children and the team were taken and sent to the newspaper in Suva to appear on Children's Day in Fiji.
Since then, Ann has been a proactive motivator for the Trust, not only in trying to bring awareness about East Timor, but promoting their culture and finding ingenious ways to work together with ethic groups in East Timor where handicrafts there can be sold to promote these hard working people. Most of the money raised has been through Ann and John’s efforts, for which we are truely grateful.
